Insurance Authorizations
Our surgeons at The Advanced Institute for Breast Reconstruction are out of network with all insurance plans. Our office staff does have great success in assisting patients with obtaining authorizations for coverage with certain out of network plans. We usually will start with getting your insurance plan information and checking your coverage to see what your options are.
Mastectomy-Related Procedures
Federal and California state law requires health insurance plans to cover all phases of breast reconstruction after a mastectomy to treat breast cancer, including enhancements made to the unaffected breast to achieve symmetry. Our staff will work with your insurance provider to obtain approvals for all mastectomy-related reconstructive procedures.
